1) The standard eStore shipping policies will apply. Orders are coming in fast and we will fill them as quickly as possible.
2) TI will allow multiple orders per person. We are committed to getting thousands of LaunchPads into the community for the lowest possible price. We may not fill all of a persons orders at the same time and may prioritize filling orders to unique persons. As noted earlier on our forums Stellaris LaunchPad will be available through other channels as well.
3) We do not have a set timeline for the end of the promotional pricing period. The promotional price will continue past September 25th. The promotional price is not tied to a specific number of units sold. We do not yet have a price range in mind should the price adjust at any point. We will keep the price as low as possible.
We have also received reports that the eStore recently experienced technical difficulties. This appears unrelated to Stellaris LaunchPad and should be resolved.

It is not nice, TI said: "Order your kit now through the TI eStore and your Stellaris LaunchPad will be ready to ship when we start accepting regular orders on September 25!". I don't think they need more than a month to get it from "ready" to "delivered".

Even though the second order is over a month later, it's like a birthday present
And for shipping giggles, I've ordered another four today to give out to some friends.
(Is it just me or is this editor really hating upon the backspace key?)

In the meantime, as I wrote few weeks ago, I'll study about C programming and MCU.
I was wondering if could make sense to buy an MSP430 to start playing with.

If you want to get used to some C programming then the MSP430 isn't a bad start. The Launchpad is even cheaper at $4.30 (incl. international shipping). If you want to stick with ARM then ST have a nice cheap range of boards in a similar vein to the Stellaris Launchpad - take a look at the STM32F0 and STM32F4 discovery kits.
If using STM32 - would want to select a development environment that is available for both STM32 and Stellaris Launchpad.
Could also check whether any of the preview toolsets for the Stellaris Launchpad include emulator.
(So could write code using the Stellaris libraries, etc. and simulate running it on a microcontroller.)

Reading Stellaris libraries/sample code may also be way to learn.

That seems a bit off that resellers already have them. It makes a bit of a joke of pre-registering your interest and getting a promo price. I decided to do the right thing and only ordered one so that other people could get one too.Watterott in Germany got some http://www.watterott...ad-EK-LM4F120XL I've just ordered two.
And now "Bestellstatus: Versandt" order status: shipped. If things run as usual I'll have them tomorrow.

If you pre-ordered a LaunchPad (or two) through TI's eStore and your original shipment date was within the 2-4 week period -- You will get your first LaunchPad order within that 2-4 week period (some may be sooner).
If you submitted a LaunchPad pre-order through TI's eStore and the shipment date was listed as 2-6 weeks (generally, for orders placed in the last week and a half) - it will ship by very early November, within the stated 6 week period.
Since some people submitted several pre-orders, those additional packages will be shipped out at a later date (closer to 6 weeks after 9/25). TI is prioritizing all customers' first order before fulfilling any multiple orders.
If you're seeing a November date on your first (or only) Stellaris LaunchPad order- rest assured, I just spoke with our team and your kit(s) will be shipped within that original 2-4 week window.
Very sorry about the confusion.
